The Majía label celebrates seven years of existence with a compilation of label regulars and new recruits.
Launched in 2016 by the duo Santa Muerte, and currently run by Royo (fka Sines, ex-half of Santa Muerte), the Majía label has played a major role in spreading Latin sounds within a more global club scene.

Emerging in the wake of labels and parties such as NAAFI, Fade to Mind, Bala Club and GHE20G0TH1K, Majía has seriously positioned Houston on the map of the bubbling club music constellation nourished by Grime, post-internet culture and other localized niches ranging from Kuduro and Jersey Club to Dembow and Brazilian Funk.

With over thirty releases to its credit, including solo EPs (Omaar, Sines, El Plvybxy, Rafa Maya, Lucy Grey...), collaborative singles (Sines & Yayoyanoh, Sines & Buckamore...), mythical bootleg packs and the launch of a sub-label (Amor), the catalogue of the Texas-based digital label is a must-have on the USB sticks of DJs the world over.

To mark its seventh anniversary in style, the label announces, for the first time in several years, a compilation soberly entitled Seven. Comprising no less than nineteen previously unreleased tracks compiled by Royo himself, the release features a panel of international artists, ranging from label regulars to new affiliates, pioneers and newcomers.

At once retrospective and forward-looking, Seven takes stock of seven years of frenzied releases and shows that the label still has plenty of surprises in store for the future

The tracklisting includes DJ Raff, DNGDNGDNG, El Blanco Nino, El Plvybxy, Entrañas, Imaabs, Kala Btz, K1RA, Mesqit, Parzubanil, Royo, Selvagia, Sepbtt, Sevenbeatz, Sonido Berzerk, and Tufi Meme. A logical and exciting gathering of artists we've already come across on the label (El Blanco Nino, El Plvybxy, imaabs, Kala Btz, Royo), pioneers making their debut on Majía (DNGDNGDNG, DJ Raff, Sonido Berzerk, Ynfynyt Scroll, Zutzut) and newcomers who carry the label's heritage in their sound (Mesqit, Entrañas, Parzubanil, K1RA, Selvagia, MLE...).
The Seven compilation will be available for free on September 22 on Majía's Bandcamp.
